Once there were two women
who never knew each other
One you won't remember
the other you call mother
Two different lives shaped to
make you one
One became your guiding star
the other became your sun
The first one gave you life
the second one taught you to live it
The first gave you a need for love
the second was there to give it
One gave you a nationality,
the other gave you a name
One gave you a talent
the other gave you aim
One gave you emotions
The other calmed your fears
One saw your first sweet smile
the other dried your tears
One made an adoption plan
that was all that she could do
The other prayed for a child
and was lead straight here to you
Now which of these two women
are you the product of?
Both, my darling, both.
Just two different kinds of love

And one day you will help Molly know how greatful you are to the woman who gave her life so that she could live that life with you. The most precious of gifts. I know.
Amy, what a wonderful gift you have this mother's day. I hope you don't mind that I used the poem on my blog. We hope and pray that you are doing well with Molly and enjoying the last leg of your trip in Molly's home country. Take care, God Bless you both!

Just beautiful!!!!!! :)
Oh, Amy...Molly is BEAUTIFUL!!!
This is Suzanne Rowe from Smyrna, TN. My Catherine was born in Jiangxi in Fuzhou. Mary was our guide too...loved her!
You are doing great!!! It sounds like you are doing exactly what Molly needs for you to do. No surprise...God has been preparing you to be her momma and that's who you are. :) I know you're exhausted and emotional and every other thing too. Be sure to cut yourself LOTS of slack...you just gave birth and in foreign country. :) Have fun shopping in Guangzhou...I loved that! You'll also find lots of yummy food too.
More than anything just rest in the Lord and let Him carry you as He leads you and guides you into this unbelievably beautiful and sometimes scary and always amazing journey called motherhood.
Congratulations and Many Blessings,
Suzanne
